  10.        This release note describes patch SG0000223 to IRIX 5.2.

  12.        1.1  _S_u_p_p_o_r_t_e_d__H_a_r_d_w_a_r_e__P_l_a_t_f_o_r_m_s

  14.        This patch contains bug fixes for all RealityEngine and
  15.        RealityEngineII platforms.  The software cannot be installed
  16.        on other configurations.

  20.        This patch contains bug fixes for IRIX 5.2.  The software
  21.        cannot be installed on other configurations.

  25.        This patch contains fixes for the following bugs in IRIX
  26.        5.2.  Bug numbers from Silicon Graphics bug tracking system
  27.        are included for reference.

  29.           +o The graphics pipe can hang when multiple graphics
  30.             applications are simultaneously rendering and at least
  31.             one of the applications is performing copy rectangles
  32.             followed by a convolve with a LUT or Scale/Bias. This
  33.             has been seen with stereo applications using multiple
  34.             contexts, such as IL based applications.  The symptoms
  35.             are that fifo timeout messages are logged to SYSLOG
  36.             then the graphics restarts.  (Bug #253163).

  50.        this patch, determine the patches that meet your specific

  53.        Patch software is installed like any other Silicon Graphics
  54.        software product.  Follow the instructions in your _I_R_I_S
  55.        _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e to bring up the miniroot form of

  74.        Follow these steps to select a patch for installation:

  76.          1.  At the Inst>prompt, type

  88.          4.  You may find that two patches have been marked as
  89.              incompatible.  If this occurs, you must deselect one
  90.              of the patches.

  102.        To remove a patch, use the _v_e_r_s_i_o_n_s _r_e_m_o_v_e command as you
  103.        would for any other software subsystem.  The removal process
  104.        reinstates the original version of software unless you have
  105.        specifically removed the patch history from your system.
